TREE reaches economically marginalised communities whose Children face abject poverty, have limited or no access to essential services.

The aim of the TREE training programme is to improve practitioner development and capacity.

We currently have 3 Tree Training Centres and over 27 Training Sites across KZN.

THE TREE TOY SHOP

The most exciting part about the TREE Toy Shop is our workshop, where our experienced and skilled Toy Makers produce a wide range of handmade, wooden toys.

#BuildaWorldofPlay

Project:GoGoPlay

Building ecosystems of play for 0-4-year-olds and their caregivers in rural South Africa.

Through co-created playhouses, we aim to offer holistic ECD services for children, daycare services, and mental health counselling for parents and caregivers. Through community outreach efforts, local women, especially grandmothers (gogos), will be trained to conduct ECD sessions via HomeKits in villages.

Over five years, we aim to impact 240,000 unique children.

PARTNERS
Digital Literacy

Future Proofing our Communities

As the world advances and the demand for technology skills increases, we aim to tackle the lack of digital knowledge & skills within our ECD sector and disadvantaged communities through our Basic Computer Literacy Course.

Upskilling practitioners with digital knowledge is a gateway to enhancing the quality of lives for themselves and others as they are opened up to new world of learning possibilities, job opportunities and entrepreneurship.

PARTNERSHIPS & DONATIONS

Kwa-Zulu Natal is home to a quarter of South Africa’s children, 85% of which are under the age of 5 and have no access to any form of early child development programmes.

We’d like to thank the organisations who have partnered with TREE to ensure young children develop to their full potential in line with their rights and needs.
